It's Good to be Bad!

Disney villains have always taken a backseat to the Princesses…until now! In the wicked new Colourpop cosmetics collaboration with Disney, the villains are the main event—and makeup lovers are OBSESSED.

A few months ago, Colourpop launched a Disney Princess Designer Collection of makeup. Due to the success of the launch Colourpop decided to take things for a eviller turn with a Disney Villains collaboration!

Like any bad apple, the Disney villains are complex and misunderstood (except for Hans, he was just a jerk). The collection features six of our favourite villains; The Evil Queen, Maleficent, Ursula, Dr. Facilier, Hades and Cruella De Vil! Colourpop has created a highlighter, lipstick, lip gloss, and liquid eyeshadow for each villain.

The hues that they chose for each character perfectly represents each villain. They took each characters’ persona, outfit and passion into account when choosing the colours, and it certainly shows.

Some of the colours are bold and daring while some shades remain more obnoxious than others. Like I mentioned, the hues and shades suit the characters so well it’s as if the characters were cursed and turned into these makeup products.

The collection is not just perfectly designed but they also took careful consideration when choosing names for the different colours! Some of the names include “Hot Headed”, “Do I look like I care?”, and “Bad Apple”. As a Disney Villains fan I think that the whole collection gave the characters the much needed attention that they deserve!

Colourpop is a vegan and cruelty free company that prides itself on being an affordable brand! At Sephora, most of the luxury brands can be very expensive, whereas Colourpop has the same price points as drug store brands. You can only get Colourpop online, but you can access their entire makeup inventory 24 hours online!
